How to Add a Site

The Site Setup Screen is used to setup the valid sites for your school district for which you will maintain information in the system.

Note: Before continuing with the Site Setup Process, you must first enter the Site information in theLEA Setup/Site Master Tab.

 

Click the Options Menu, Site Setup to access the Site Setup Screen.

 

Click next to the Sites Grid.

 

The Site Form will appear.

 

Input specifications are as follows:

 

Site Master: Use the Drop Down List Box or type to enter the Site Master.

 

UID: Enter a user-defined identification name for the site. The system will use this when referring to the site.

 

Name: Enter the Site Name.

 

Next Site: Use the Drop Down List Box or type to enter the Site students will attend after leaving this Site. Note: Sites will only be populated in the Drop Down List Box if the next School Year has been rolled up.

 

URL: Enter the website address for this Site.

 

Last Day of First Quarter: Use the Drop Down Calendar Box or type to enter the Site's last day of the first quarter.

 

Graduation Date: Use the Drop Down Calendar Box or type to enter the Graduation Date for this Site.

 

Lunch Minutes: Enter the number of minutes given for the lunch period at this Site.

 

Provision Status: Use the Drop Down List Box or type to enter the Site's Provision Status, if applicable.

 

Title1 Status: Use the Drop Down List Box or type to enter this Site's Title 1 Status.

 

Operational Status: The system defaults this field to 0820-School Open. However, you may use the Drop Down List Box or type to change the Operational Status for your Site, if necessary.

 

School Type: The system defaults this field to 1302-All Levels. However, you may use the Drop Down List Box or type to change the School Type for your Site, if necessary.

 

Session Type: The system defaults this field to 0827-Full school year. However, you may use the Drop Down List Box or type to change the Session Type for your Site, if necessary.

 

SIF Reported: This Check Box indicates if the Site is to be reported to SIF.

 

Section UID Starting Value: Enter the value for which you want the Section UIDs to begin. For example, if you want each Section to begin with 'A' or '705', enter that value here.

 

Section UID Edit Mask: Enter zero(s) to indicate how many digits you want the Section UID to be. The Edit Mask is tagged onto the END of the Section UID Starting Value. For example, if you want the Section UID to be 6 letters/digits long and your Section UID Starting Value is 3-digits (i.e., 705), enter '000'. The system will then create the Section UID number as 705000. The next number generated will be 705001. If you have entered a letter as the Section UID Starting Value, (i.e., A) the system will then create the Section UID number as A000. The next number generated will be A001.

 

Grade Calculation Method: Use the Drop Down List Box to select the Calculation Method for this site. This indicates how the grades will be calculated in the i-GB Instructor Workspace. If By Section is selected, the instructors will be allowed to choose the Grade Calculation Method in their i-GBWorkspace. If any other selection is made, the grades for this site will be calculated accordingly.

 

Allow Teacher Override Attendance:  Check this Check Box to allow the Instructor to override attendance once he/she has recorded them in i-GB.

 

Allow Teacher Override Eligibility: Check this Check Box to allow the Instructor to override eligibility once he/she has recorded it in i-GB.

 

Allow Teacher Override Evaluation Mark: Check this Check Box to allow the Instructor to override evaluation marks once he/she has recorded them in i-GB.

 

Note: If these overrides are not checked, once the evaluation marks, eligibility and attendance have been recorded in the i-GB Instructor Workspace, the teacher will not be allowed to change. The change must be done by the administrator.

 

Click to save the Site.

 

Click to save the Site Master and add another.
