The Grading Scale Detail Form will appear.
Input specifications are as follows:
Grading Code: Enter the letter grade (i.e., A, B, C, etc.) that can be recorded for the student. When recording grades for the students, you can enter either letter or number grades. This is the letter value of the grade.
Display Order: If a value other than '0' is entered into the Display Order Field, the system will order and display the grades according to the order you specified.
Description: Enter the description of the grade (i.e,. A = Excellent, B = Above Average).
Begin Numeric: Enter the begin numeric value of the letter grade. For example, if an A is from 90 to 100, then enter 90.
End Numeric: Enter the end numeric value of the letter grade. For example, if an A is from 90 to 100, then enter 100.
GPA Points: Enter the number of grade points a student receives for making this grade (i.e., A = 4, B = 3, C= 2, etc.)
Default Numeric: Enter the numeric value to use for the grade if you record letter grades, but want to use a Numeric Grade Point Average. If the instructors record letter grades for the students, the system will automatically use the Begin Field as the Numeric Value when calculating Grade Point Averages unless you enter a value in this field. For example, if an instructor enters an 'A' for a student, if you enter 95 in this field, that is the points the system will assign the student for that grade.
